AboutJohn states that living and working as a sculptor is both facinating and absorbing, opening his ideas to the questioning of human life which helps him to draw upon his own inner knowledge, the driving force behind his work. He believes art is a journey within us and sometimes you get an answer and sometimes it's just a journey. He studied at the Art Academy in London where he is now resident artist. He has also worked on a number of commissions and exhibited around the UK. |

Biography / CVJohn studied at the Art Academy in London as sculpture Apprentice and then resident Artist and Tutor, and at the studios of Edwin Russell and Lorne McKean.Freelance art/design and installation work for Tussauds, Virgin, Sony, Guinness, First Leisure, Alton Towers, Shish restaurants and freelance sculpture work. |
Artist StatementSculpture to me is a way of questioning and expressing my inner self. This is the driving force behind my work.I believe that art is a journey within outselves and some times you get the answer and some times its just a journey. I would like people to view my work and learn and experience as much about life as I do. |
Acquisitions / CollectionsCommissions:-Recently gained life size bronze of Christopher Marlowe London for St. Nicholas Church and the Marlowe Society life size bronze dacing figure commissioned for a Cruise Liner. Life size bronzes of Julie Andrews and Christopher Plumber commissioned for a cruise liner. Work on 7ft sculpture of Minerva for Minerva Property Company for their new headquarters in Wigmore Street, London. 2ft commissioned Shell Emblem for reception of St. James Independent School of Gils Olympia, London. |
